Start with 20 hours and build from there. Set own schedule.
Act as a peer to individuals desiring peer support. Provide support through own lived experience.
Need to be familiar with using a computer and can do basic programs such as Word, Outlook and Excel.
Must have graduated from one of the two Peer Specialist certification courses provided through vendors in Pennsylvania. Either the “Institute for Recovery and Community Integration” (Mental Health Partners) or “Recovery Opportunity Center” (Recovery Innovations).
Must have a valid Drivers License.
