Certified Peer Specialist
The CPS will function as a role model to peers; exhibiting competency in personal recovery and use of coping skills; serve as a consumer advocate providing consumers information and peer support for consumers in outpatient and inpatient settings. The CPS will assist consumers in anticipating goals for personal recovery through the use of one-on-one and group sessions. Assist consumers in creating an individual Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), Advanced Directive or other processes that support consumers in their own recovery.
Maintain a current PA Driver’s License
Access to a reliable, insured vehicle during working hours
Able to work flexible hours
Within the last 3 years: Have 12 months of successful work or volunteer experience or post-secondary education
High school diploma or GED
3 background check clearances
Self-identified current or former, individual who receives mental health or co-occurring services who has progressed in their own recovery and promotes self-determination and empowerment in self-directed recovery.
