LGBTQ+ Train the Trainer
August 15 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
In partnership with Keystone Pride Recovery Initiative (KPRI) the PaPSC has developed a training for Certified Peer Specialists focussed on enhancing their skills in working with the LGBTQ+ community. The new LGBTQ+ Training for CPSs will, among other topics, include information on definitions, history, the ‘coming out’ process, and unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals who have a mental health diagnosis.
KPRI and the PaPSC would like to develop a statewide network of trainers for this new training. To this end we have scheduled a Train the Trainer for August 15 in State College. If you are interested, please download the attached application and submit it by August 7.
Class size is limited to 12 and participants will be selected based on regional considerations and qualifications.
