NHS is currently seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our NHS Behavioral Health division in our Bethlehem, PA location.

The Certified Peer Specialist performs a range of tasks through individual and group encounters to assist consumers in regaining control over their own lives and over their own recovery process.
The CPS will role model competency in recovery and ongoing coping skills, serve and as a consumer advocate.
The CPS also provides essential expertise and consultation to other team members in promoting a recovery-oriented culture and practice of service provision and in understanding the consumers’ perspective and subjective experience.
Services are provided in accordance with all existing policies, procedures and regulations and in accord with the mission and value of the company.
A secondary opportunity is to assist in the Outpatient clinic onsite. You would need to encourage shared decision making and use of the Decision Support Center to assist consumers in maximizing appointments with psychiatrist.
Must have received Peer Specialist certification upon graduation of the Certified Peer Specialist Training or have scheduled to attend a training in the near future.
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Must have a valid driver’s license.

Must have successfully completed the Certified Peer Specialist training.
Ability to establish professional relationships with peers.
Valid PA driver’s license and appropriate state and federal clearances.
